Mission
Pain is a significant symptom experienced by a high percentage of advanced cancer patients, negatively impacting their quality of life. Effective pain management is crucial to improve their comfort and well-being. Besides, innumerable patients suffer from lack of appetite and inadequate sleep. There has been an increasing interest in cannabis use for cancer pain, given the lack of safety or tolerability of opioids and other analgesics. Though the use opioids are effective, yet the challenge with opioids is severe side effects like constipation, addiction, resistant to prevailing doses, mental clouding, nausea and vomiting etc. By and large, we observe that a majority of the patients over a period of time want to avoid use of opioids for their chronic pain and lack of sleep
